Fail-proof No Knead Bread

We have been baking our own bread over here a lot lately.... see my post on why here.

This bread is absolutely incredible! Although it requires a long rise, it does not require any kneading, which makes it super fail-proof. If the rise time has you inching away, I encourage you to overlook it,  set a timer, and go about your day. The bread does all the work itself, all you have to do is wait. I know you can do that!

Fail-proof No Knead Bread
Ingredients
  • 3 cups Unbleached All Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Instant Yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups Room Temperature Water
Instructions
1) In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt and yeast. Stir in the water. Cover the mixing bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest for 12-18 hours (I know!! But trust me it is worth it!) at room temperature. 2) Preheat the over to 450 degrees. Place a 6 quart dutch oven in the over for about 30 minutes to warm. Scrape the dough out onto a well-floured surface and gently shape into a ball with flour on the outside. Set on a piece of parchment and cover with plastic until the dutch oven is warmed.3) Remove the plastic wrap from the dough. Lift the dough and the parchment paper into the pan so that the parchment lines the bottom of the hot pan. Bake covered for 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake for another 15 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
